samgyetang(chicken soup)


This is one of the most popular korean traditional health food! 🙂

We call this ‘samgyetang’ and usually cook with ginseng.

But this time, I put solomon’s-seal root instead of it.

< Ingredients >

3 chickens

solomon’s seal root 400g

3 garlics

7 jujubes

4 cups of glutinous rice

Prepare 3 chickens, wash well and drain

Wash garlics, jujubes and solomon’s seal root too!

keep glutinous rice soaked in water for an hour

In a big pot, put chickens, jujubes, garlics and solomon’s seal root.

Pour water and boil until chickend is cooked.

When the chickens are cooked,

put glutinous rice and boil again.

cook for 20 minutes more 🙂
